Wondering what the calendar is saying at TAGs… Spring Time! Put a spring in your step and stop by with your underloved treasures to consign, What are customers asking for? Here is a quick list to get your bag ready….
- Rodeo/Western Wear : Boots – Riding,Fat boys,Ariats, Roper, Belts – bling is always loved, Western Tops- a best seller! Jewelry – Horses, Stars,Crosses, Fleur de Lis,baubles!
- Spring Dresses and Skirts: Don’t ignore Sunday Morning Service attire! With Easter around the corner, Dresses, Skirts, Sandals and light weight sweaters are all a favorite right now…
- Snow — Whatttt! yes, here at TAGs snow pants, bibs, boots and gloves all sell very well. It is not too late to bring in your snow clothes…. TAGS SECRET ALERT: TAGs accepts all sizes in snow clothing… including infant….
- Capris and Bermuda style shorts: The longers shorts we start accepting now along with capris.
- Tee’s and Tops: Yes – all year, bring them in!

Tip from TAGs: How do you know if you items are ready for RE-Sale: Clean, ready-to-wear condition. Inspect under arms, looks for holes, stains and such! Making your drop easy and quick!
- Have your items been in storage? Run thru the wash with a baking soda and vinegar rinse… they will be brighten and come out with no storage odor!

RE purposed! We can define that in so many ways. Teresa Hammond with the Oakdale leader recently captured the Re purposed feel here at TAGS and we are delighted. See her article: http://www.oakdaleleader.com/news/article/1328/
Teresa took some town out of her schedule to get to know some of the women that contribute to the TAGS experience. It is amazing the life journey these woman have had, adapting from full-time work to raising the next generation and the adaptation process. Certainly, REpurposed in a SpecTAGular way!
Here is to all of you our friends, neighbors, consignors, TAG staff and of course families to a great 2010 and the year of the REpurposed!
Green is the new “GOLD”

Resale Wonders abound and You can be part of the new “Gold Standard” by shopping and utilizing your local resale/consignment shop!
Going Green does not have to be expensive, shopping green is affordable, and is true recycling! While large stores jump on the Green bandwagon by asking you to buy New, Expensive, processed green attire.
Consignment and resale store have know all along that they have saved their environment, local community/economy and friends and neighbors by offering the latest fashions in a fun, clean atmosphere!
The eco-friendly consignment store, saves wasted clothing from the landfill and saves the consumers pocket book. The responsible shopper understands, that by purchasing items from their local resale store they have put money in the pockets of single parents, saved gas by not having to drive far, saved the environment from chemicals and processes that are utilized in new clothing. The list goes on and on!
So, I applaud you our friends and neighbors for shopping and consigning at your local resale shop!
